Solange Denervaud is a developmental cognitive neuroscientist whose work bridges brain science and real-world educational practice. Trained as a Montessori teacher, her early classroom experience sparked a deep interest in how environments shape children’s cognitive and emotional development.

More about Solange Denervaud

After earning a degree in bioengineering from EPFL, she completed a PhD in neuroscience at the University Hospital of Lausanne, in collaboration with the Swiss Center for Affective Sciences. Her doctoral research earned the 2021 Biaggi de Blasys Prize for best neuroscience thesis in the Lémanic region.
At the CIBM Center for Biomedical Imaging, she now works on implementing a large-scale research initiative exploring how curiosity, creativity, and cooperation emerge in children. 
Solange is passionate about translating life into science and back. An ever ending journey.
