More about Natalie Porias

Her work redefines how artistic methods - especially clowning - can offer meaningful support in times of crisis, trauma, and displacement. From refugee camps to post-disaster zones, Natalie has designed and led initiatives that restore emotional balance, reduce stigma, and strengthen community resilience. Her leadership has been instrumental in anchoring arts-based mental health care within international humanitarian frameworks.

She began her career in media and public communication before transitioning into the nonprofit sector, where her advocacy for human dignity and emotionally intelligent leadership has shaped global conversations around trauma care and social innovation.

Natalie is a frequent speaker at international conferences and policy events on topics including trauma-informed practice, cross-sector collaboration, and creative approaches to mental well-being. Since 2025, she has served on the Advisory Board of the NGO Women's Network (NPO Frauennetzwerk), contributing to dialogue and policy on inclusive leadership and gender equity in the social impact field.

She also led a structural transformation at RED NOSES International, founding new departments in research, programme design, and organisational development, and introducing the organisation's first international fundraising strategist position. Her leadership combines empathy with strategic clarity - always rooted in the belief that humour, creativity, and compassion can play a vital role in healing.
