More about Mathieu Horeau

MATHIEU HOREAU holds a doctorate in philosophy, with expertise in classical German philosophy. He taught the history of philosophy and aesthetics at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne as a doctoral student and postdoctoral fellow. In 2020, wishing to connect his research with social issues, he joined the Accademia Dimitri (SUPSI), where he is now a lecturer and researcher. At the same time, he co-authored a documentary film on the sexual behaviour of French teenagers (“Préliminaires,” by Julie Talon, broadcast on Arte in 2021, winner of the Étoiles de la Scam award). His current research focuses on the history of the concept of empathy, which underpins several applied theatre projects aimed at preventing sexual harassment and bullying in educational environments.
