More about Fenna Heyning

Fenna comes from the medical field, where she worked as an internist-hematologist. She was the director of the Association of Collaborating Top Clinical Hospitals (STZ) for many years. She is also the author of the book 'Help, the Hospital is Disappearing' and is known for her visionary approach to the future of healthcare —with an emphasis on digitalization, patient-centered care, sustainability, and the ‘decoupling’of traditional healthcare models from physical hospital walls.

Currently, she works as an independent consultant in the field of future-proof healthcare and healthcare innovation. Additionally, Fenna is the founder of the GeneesKunst foundation. This foundation helps patients, their loved ones, and healthcare providers to be human again by using art in various forms. She founded this organization after becoming increasingly aware, during her work as a hematologist, of the importance of protecting the emotional and mental space of patients.
