More about Susana Magalhães

Susana Magalhães is the Head of the Unit for Responsible Conduct in Research at the Institute for Research and Innovation in Health of the University of Porto (i3S). She holds a PhD in Bioethics from the Portuguese Catholic University, where she explored the links between literature, imagination, and responsibility. Her work focuses on Narrative Medicine and Research Ethics & Integrity. She teaches at Fernando Pessoa University and is also an invited lecturer at the Portuguese Catholic University, where she coordinated the Narrative Medicine Course from 2017 to 2021. Since 2020, she has been teaching Research Ethics/Integrity modules in two doctoral programs in molecular biology, biotechnology, and health sciences. She is a certified Virt2UE Trainer and has coordinated the Study and Reflection Group on Narrative Medicine (GERMEN) since 2018.
